I saw a Fly Porsche Joest, eight or so years ago, at a local hobby store and thought it was a diecast. To my astonishment it was a slot car. Next epiphany was discovering Archer Raceway and the wood tracks in Vancouver.
Year's later, I'm still having fun after buying many slot cars, building a few wood tracks and meeting a lot of good people.
I like 1/1 scale cars too, mainly Austin Minis. My last project will be installing a Honda VTEC B16A2 motor/tranny, mid-ship, into an obscure car, a GTM Coupe, hence my name tag.
Later.

Rick,
I had trouble logging in as VTECFOUR. As I didn't seem to activate my email confirmation, I couldn't be sent my password.
So, I'm now username wpgdan
I'll be posting soon what I had to do to a Lemans Miniature Mazda 787 to make it a reasonable runner.
Later.
Dan
