Just joined yesterday, thought I would join Rick's board after a few years worth of buying cars off him, thought I would support him in this way too. I helped start up organized racing here in Kelowna, BC this past season once I moved here from Calgary. Being the administrator of a group of 6 racers brought many ups and downs in trying to keep the spirit of the group true to just being a group of friends that wanted to make the move from unstructured racing to organized racing. The weekly racing this past season had four classes being raced on one 4 lane Scalextric analog track (mine) and two Scalextric digital tracks. Classes were Scalextric Porsche 911, Scalextric Rally, Scalextric Nascar, and Slot.it. All four introductory classes were magnet. Next season in September I am adding a no mag Saloon/GT/DTM class as an easy & slow introduction to no magnet racing, I'm pretty excited about that and I'm hoping it will go well. Also due to demand because the guys here are buying cars like crazy, we are adding Fly trucks, Transam, Vintage Lemans & F1 to the schedule for next season as well. Huge mix of cars!! Well now that the Winter season is over, most of the slot cars are packed up and I am ready for some summer fun! Here is a link to our weekly results: www3.telus.net/public/malesan/KSCC%20Races%20Spring09/Cheers! Robert
